LaVergne Gunshow this weekend

So like the subject says theres a gunshow in LaVergne this weekend. Was just wondering if anyone was going?

Also I have never been to a gun show, wanted to know what I should expect? I would probably go for a holster or 2, also some ammo and maybe a knife or 2.

Whats the policy on buying guns from Gunshows, I cannot yet purchase a gun normally because I am not yet a US citizen (have applied, just takes 6 months) and have not lived in TN for 90 days yet. So I assume I will not be able to buy one at the show. Anyone know if this is correct?

Thanks.

Good luck on that 6 months thing. I know people here legally with a long fully documented legal history that are working on full citizenship. One got everything finally done after about 9 years. Another is still working on it and is close after 6 years.

Anyone ever been to this show before? Is it in the same place Pope's used to be? I have been to Pope's and Goodman's, but have never heard of this RK Shows before. Any info would be great.

It's not in the same place as the Pope shows. It'll be at the LV Expo Center, which can be seen from I-24, just east of Exit 64. If you get off I-24 @ Exit 64, and head towards Lavergne, you'll turn east by the truck stop. The Expo Center is just down the road a bit.

This will be the first time for this show, which is being put together by RK Shows. I'll have a table there, set up with my buddy Shawn, who owns TN Police Supply. I'll be there Friday evening and Sunday all day, but won't be there Saturday. My business partner, Zach, should be there on Saturday, though.

We'll have to see how well the show does. Hopefully, it'll be better for me than either the Chattanooga or Knoxville shows. I don't know if there are yet plans to do more shows at the same place, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are. Given the popularity of the Smyrna shows for Bob Pope, I'd say there is a market for a Lavergne show.

If you come to the show on Friday or Sunday, stop by the table and say hello. I'll be the good looking guy with the silencers and super-short 870's.

I always heard gun dealers were full of **it, now this proves it. I have seen you at shows and we have talked, but not since I joined this forum.

pops, I'm glad you don't find me attractive. In fact, that down right warms my heart, knowing you won't be asking me out on a date. :taunt:

And if you do decide to change your mind: :taser:

Or, did you mean the part about the market for a Lavergne show? If so, hey, one can hope, can't they? I mean, the Smyrna show was always better than the Fairgrounds. There was always a higher guns per Beanie Baby ratio.

I'm out of town on Saturday but if there's nothing going on Friday evening I may try to stop by just to say hi to you, Frank. And look around some. It's fun just to go people-watching at gun shows. :taser:

I went. The turnout looked pretty good and there were a lot of vendors.

It was hot in that building.

I went with a list of stuff to buy but I couldn’t find any deals on anything I needed. I couldn’t even find any deals on stuff I didn’t need. :D

Guess I’ll be placing a MidWayUSA order today.

I went yesterday too and there were a ton of people there.

Overall, I was a little disappointed. There were only a few things there that I was interested in, but the prices were too high. The only thing that I bought was a cheap knife.

Just got back, didn't really find what I was looking for, picked up a Mikes #15 IWB holster for like $2 more than what ebay would have been but I guess I didn't have to pay shipping or wait.

Went in there looking for a beretta 92, or a neos. Didn't see any of those, tons of glocks though. Glocks on like every table, guess noone wants to buy them...
