I had a Remington Mosin Nagant for years.I paid $30 for it.It had the barrel shortened to 20 in. for sporting use.The only ammo available was made by Norma and it was around $40 a box.I sold it for $50 years later and it was not 6 months after that surplus 7.62x54 ammo came on the market.Oh well,B)

I just bought a Westinghouse MN from AIM, actually about 2 weeks ago. Nothing special except it is in good condition and I worked for Westinghouse at one time. Had heard of the existence of these rifles from several old timers in the company. I'm assuming they also heard it from old timers.

A few of my NEW's have been pictured on http:/7.62x54r.net . The owner of the website is a friend and sometimes seems obsessed with having every variation, no matter how minor. While looking over a couple of mine, he noticed that the NEW stampings on the barrel shanks were a bit different. Next thing you know, he's got pictures of numerous variations . . . .

I've not been so lucky with acquiring Remington M91s. Only 1 at present IIRC.

My brother just bought the reciever, the stock was from another Mosin. After searching pics of Remington Mosin's I realized someone has modified this one, chopped some of the barrell off and added a front sight not seen on any Mosin's. The American Mosin's had the longer barrell.

They bent the bolt handle also.
