12ga semi-auto suggestions

Looking to stay in the $500-600 range and prefer wood stock.

What new ones should I look? Or would I be better off to find a used one but what model??

I would look for a used Remington 1100. I have one that I have 1000's of round through. I have never had a problem out of it what so ever.

I dont know where prics sit at, but I'd say a Remington 1100 or 11-87 or a Beretta or Browning would serve you well.

I would recommend a Sagia-12. It is actually an AK-47 style action that has been reworked to handle 12 ga. It is the fastest shotgun that I have ever fired. AS fast as you can pull the trigger it will fire. (my browning gold will jam if you fire it as fast as the sagia). Another plus is that the sagia is magazine fed. So you can stock up on extra mags and even drums for the zombie Apocalypse. As far as the wood stock goes, I believe there is wood furniture offered for it.

If your looking to kill lots of zombies or for HD then the Saiga is the way to go. If your looking to hunt or shoot clays, you might want to look at the Berretta Statesman available in the classifieds.

Mosberg 930 runs about 6 and some change, I'd go for a used 1100, i have seen them running under 300.

i was looking at a Remington 1100 Tactical +4. its about 750 new but its my favorit shotgun. id go with a used 1100.

The Beretta 390 and 391 are, in my opinion, the best buy for the money. If you are duck hunting, please consider the synthetic stocks. Duck hunting is rough on wood stocks. The best place to buy one, Walmart. They have the Beretta 390 model without the cutoff device. It was, the last time I checked, under $600.

I've owned 1100's and other Remington products. They are not, based on m experience, as reliable as the Beretta models.

I have the beretta 390 with a wood stock. It has been flawless for me the last 10 years of pheasant hunting and sporting clays. If you are going to take it in the duck blind, you really need the synthetic stocked one. Walmart is hard to beat on the price of the synthetic one.

+1 on the Wally World Beretta. I have one and it's one of the best deals going in the shotgun world. I have seen a few around recently for $549.

+1 on the Mossberg 930SPX...they rock and roll real good...I personally have a Bennelli Nova Tactical got a spankin deal on it from a co worker of my wife's. The Mossy was my first choice though...and is still on the radar
