Pre season is a warm up for the established players, and a "live" try out for the newbies that are either going to make it on the team, make it to the practice squad or go home/overseas to play.

I watched some of it. My kids were watching the waverly place movie.

One thing I love about the pre season is watching the newbies that in, especially on defense, you see a newbie linebacker, or safety.....they are hunting...not for just a "tackle", they are looking to blow someone up to impress.. Man there are some good hits in these.
