i used to live in florida and it was required to have a handyman license to do most anything as far as helping people out and making some money. i have been doing some flooring jobs for people recently as i used to do it professionally and also have some electrical experience. i was thinking about branching out into general handyman stuff and seeing how it goes.

does TN require such a handyman license? if so how would i go about getting one?

??? I've never heard of a handyman license. We just started requiring a license to do plumbing about 2 years ago. The state requires a license to do electrical work if its inspected, but other than that, no.

cool. thats what i was hoping. FL requires it as a way to mitigate the scammers taking advantage of the "snowbirds" and alot of scams were going on after most any hurricane season.

wish i could help you out but the drive would be a full day round trip

Hence my edit, after I mapped it out I figured out it would not be feasable.
