I ran one day last week and it was "between" rain cells, well it developed over the top of my area and poured on me, I was 2 miles out, so I had to continue on, I put my mp3 player in the baggy, sealed it up, and went on. My shoes weight about 10lbs more (well at least they felt like it). I actually enjoyed the rain part, kept me cooler, but the heavy shoes, I did not like.

I ran 9 miles Saturday, I was wanting some rain at the end!

At the start of this thread you mentioned a friend trying to get you to do a half marathon and you told him no... Looks like you are almost there whether you want to or not.

Whatever........

..........yep, signed up for the St. Jude Half Marathon December 5th.

Never thought I would, but here I am. I ran a 5K course last night in 25:21 which is moving pretty good. I bet I could get my time below the 25 minute mark in a race. This weekend I am in a "race" here in Memphis, it is called the 24 Hour Tour de eSpirit 24 hour race. I will be running at a minimum of an hour, might try two hours. 6 miles per hour for the first hour, than 4 minimum the next hour. Haven't decided on the 2nd hour yet. :D

Got out on the road and decided to go back and drive. My third point of contact was killing me.

Hmmm, feet, hands... I know they have padded bike shorts, which I am told make a huge difference, but...that's one thing I think about if I start riding again. As a kid, I was into BMX, big time, rode all the time. I went for a ride not too long ago on my mountain bike and ouch.....the "boys" where hurting...

LMAO...they need to be REALLY GOOD padded shorts to...even then there may be "mild" discomfort. Might need to adjust saddle height...or fore/aft positioning...or even saddle "tilt"

I am hovering at 201-202. Only have 177 miles on the road with the mtn bike and another 82 on the road bike. I have been out to montgomery bell state park's mtn bike trails twice doing another 12 or so miles I didnt have the cyclometer on though. I rode 30 or so yesterday.

I need to be 189 or less.

Curious...what are you basing the numbers on? Height / weight charts...BMI (Body Mass Index) Chart...or some sort of body fat % calculation formula....
