Gun fondling

Every so often, for no apparent reason, I go to my gun safe, take turns picking up guns, looking at them, operating the actions, just plain fondling them. Then I lock it back up and go back to whatever it is I was doing :taser:

Am I alone here?

Reef, you are a sicko. Fondling guns? what else do you do in private, alone?????

But of course I am right in the same class, love to fondle my guns :taser:

Same here, although I don't call it "fondling." :taser: I like the term "spontaneous inspection..."

Yup. I pretty much do the same thing occasionally. Well, ok ... a lot.

Hey Len, I like your "spontaneous inspection" term.

One of the really cool things about being a firearms instructor is that I get to inspect all of the guns that my students bring to class. I tell them it is a safety inspection and it is most certainly that but there is more to it. I must admit that there is something about the feel of a firearm in your hands and the sound of a working action that gets to me. I like it. I like it a lot.

I call it the "Periodic Function Check"... Periodic is defined by whenever the mood strikes me to make sure all my guns are still in proper working order in case I actually need to use them. (=

You're all a bunch of posers who never do anything but wipe your weapons down with diapers, aren't you? :taser:

[reference to some stupid claim made against me a while back]

Hell yeah I do it. I'll even take them out load up some snap caps and dry fire them if the mood strikes me. It's... training. Yeah! Training!

Light weight! I have three of 'em and still have long guns cased and tucked away in corners and pistols in dresser drawers. I'm a sucker for a good deal at an estate sale. My next purchase should probably be a Bobcat because if firearms are ever outlawed I'll need it rather than a shovel to stash 'em all (on the back side of my neighbor's farm :D).

:D:rofl:

I hear you on that.

Its getting crowded in here! Someone needs to invent an expandable or add-on-able safe, so you can just by an addition everytime you need more space.

I see you're posting from within your safe. That's mad crazy devotion! :D
