Well Ive been on the hunt for a Kimber Custom II for about 3 weeks. Ive called up every store in TN and haven't found anything of reason. Kimber is backordered so just about every store around has their Kimbers marked up past retail. If anyone has the info on one priced right, let me know!

We have maybe a dozen Kimbers in stock, and about 80 on backorder.

Most dealers are in the same situation; dealing with huge backorders and long delays from Kimber.

If you wish to expand your search to other models, im sure you will have better luck in finding that new toy

Orionsic - I would consider looking at another model in their line. As you probably know they have a lot of models that are very similar to each other. Due to the backorder issue, you maybe have to "settle" for something else in their line.

Hero-Gear definately has a huge selection of Kimbers, and I can personally vouch that they do not "mark up" there. If you just have to have a Custom II, might want to check the auction sites, possibly getting a used on. Good luck!
