Guys & Gals –

The last Saturday of August, the 29th from 9:00am – 3:00pm, we have a fund raiser for the 1st Responders. The 1st Responders are the volunteers that are the first to respond to any and all emergencies within their given area. They have also been the ones that have been feeding us at the Appleseeds, Trap, 3Gun and IDPA shoots to raise money to buy newer defibulators for their use.

We will need to set up a mini- IDPA, a mini- Appleseed, mini- 3Gun, .22 rimfire bench, mini- Vintage Rifle, Trap & Skeet. Not only will our members and ourselves be able to shoot but we will be open to the public to raise funds. This will give us the opportunity to get that little additional practice for the IDPA before the KY/TN Regional, and the next Appleseed that is coming Labor Day weekend. It will also be a good time for those wanting to try out the .22 rimfire bench and 3-Gun. Those that have acquired those old military rifles can come out and bang away in Vintage Rifle. For the shotgunners we will offer Annie Oakley, Wild Annie, Duck Blind and any other shotgun games you can think of.

We will have to design our shoots as a small competition so people can win prizes. The Annie Oakley, Wild Annie shotgun games are no problem – it’s the last guy standing. You might have to be a little creative in the rifle (accuracy?) and pistol (timing?) scenarios. The 1st Responders will have plenty of prizes to give away to all winners. They will also offer chances on a give away shotgun. (I don’t know what brand or type it will be.)

1st Responders will also provide lunch and drinks for a small fee.

Who knows? We may come up with a few new members?

Everyone can help in anything they want. Let me know who is going to help run the different disciplines.

Not sure what you are asking ( what happened to gun/reload?). We raised about $2000 from all events for the First Responders. Yep the Main 2 IDPA guys wnet to the Montgomery County IDPA shoot. So I was winging the IDPA and the 3-Gun events.
