I am willing to bet that the gun is much better than Para's customer service.

Considering Para's customer service is top notch, that's quite a statement.

Don't know about the .40's, but, the .45's do just fine.

We have different definitions of "top notch" My slide has been at the Sieverville TN facility for more than 7 weeks now just waiting on some night sights. When I called them (all 4 times) I was told they have no idea when they are going to get more in. When I wrote the HQ and told them about it they replied with one sentence

Thank you for your patience.

That was it, that is the extent of the customer service. Up until this little fiasco I was a big para fan. The LTC is my second para and I have reccommended them to several folks. Not again, as a matter of fact exactlly I will reccomend agains them.

Redbarron-

I hate to hear that you're still stuck, waiting on that slide. I remember that someone (I think, you?) recommended that I not send my slide in right now, because they were still waiting on backorders/installation orders. Sorry man - that sucks. I hope that you can get your gun back together soon.

If you have any other updates, please post back in the near future.

Para was doing a move from Canada to South Carolina, I'd say the reason they are behind on orders could be that and also the recent rush of gun purchases all around the country. These days I'd give every gun manufacturer some slack. I'm a nice guy what can i say

Georgia Arms reloads not working on a 1911,2011 style guns does not surprise me. here is what is going on, specially with 40sw, since it is a high pressure round when it is fired from a none supported chamber -i.e. Glocks- the case bulges a little bit. When that case is reloaded some do not get that bulge removed all that way. There for that round does not fit in in guns with tighter chambers, but fits in ones with looser none supporting chambers like Gocks

I have a P13-45, had to send it in once for FTF on various ammo. So far I've put 700+ rounds, and every three mags gets me at least 1 FTF still. Bought the gun brand new and was gonns EDC it. I bought my friends full size Para .45 before that and it is flawless. So, not sure about them yet. Service was good, but I had to pay for shipping..... Not cheap.

I don't care for their power extractor. Many are putting sleeves in their guns so they can use better extractors. But, when they work they work. I just like the flexibility of using better extractors like EB's, Wilsons and Aftecs in my guns and unless you sleeve it you are stuck with the pxt.
