It was packed earlier. The usual assortment of good tables and junk tables. I did have the pleasure of bumping into the folks at Shark-Tac who were making custom Kydex holsters on the spot. In fact, I'm heading back over in a little bit to pick up a nice OWB rig for my new HK45 from him.

Seems that the proprietor and I have similar tastes in firearms. :D

I wasn't to pleased at all although it is alot bigger than the one at the fairgrounds. ^2 it was alotttt of people there but I didn't see many deals. Was more like people trying to get over is what I saw. I saw several dealers who had federal 9 ammo ($8.97 at wally world) with the wm... serial code on box selling it for 25.00 & up. Yes I know they are trying to make a dollar but seems to be taking advantage to me. Just my .02 cents!

What are the show hours on Sunday?

Hey guys... I'm standing at the Shark Tac booth right now watching Brandon fab up an OWB holster for my HK45 and just shooting the bull with him. He was commenting that this is their first show this far south and they haven't really had a good turnout at their booth.

Problem is, the RK boneheads have stuffed them all the way against the wall next to the junk dealers so no one is coming over here where they are. This totally sucks for them, especially considering the quality of the gear he's cranking out.

If you're wanting a good carry rig and don't want a 6-12 week wait, come see these guys this weekend. He's got a lot of common holsters pre-built and he can whip up something for you on the spot if you need custom work.

I'll post pics of mine later tonight but it is quite similar in concept to the Raven Concealment Phantom that I have for my other guns, and priced extremely competitively.

It'd be great to see some TGO referrals make thid trip worth it for them. Plus we're hoping to see him at the BIG expo event in December too. :D

It's funny you posted this, I had never heard of Sharc Tak before but I was very impressed with their products. I was looking them up online when I realized you were talking about them. I was in a big hurry today and couldn't really linger there, but loved their stuff. Good to hear that they'll be visiting in December.

I was at the show mainly at the request of a friend who wanted to buy his first pistol, and needed some advice. They left with a couple of new M&P's, a little ammo, and a promise that they'd come to the range with me for a little beginner course. I love adding a couple more to the flock!

I spent a few hours at the show today, and agree that there were several vendors charging too much for their ammo. I don't mind them making a profit, but won't spend 25%-50% more than what I'll pay at Academy or even my local gun shop.

I watched wistfully at the Shark Tac booth, and wished I'd brought along my new LCR - I'm having a hard time finding a holster that will cover the trigger..

Going tomorrow gonna try & sell the LCP there. Hopefully it won't follow me back home.
