Coming to Nashville for a wedding. Inquiring minds...

It may seem strange for a guy in San Diego to join this forum, but a very old friend from my misspent youth in VA has invited me to the wedding of one of his daughters.

He rode his motorcycle all the way across country a few years ago to spend my birthday with me and both he and his wife have been my dear friends since the 70s. The wedding is at the CM Hall of Fame and the reception is at Cha Chah.

I hope to glean some more info...I've read the entire "Posted or not" thread and I'll stay up to date there. If any of you have intimate knowledge of either venue please send me a Private Message if you feel it's not pertinent to all.

I have CCW permits from VA, FL and UT. I'm good in about 30 states. Due to new legislation I'm going to have to get a NV permit too. I live in a county which has been under a "Don't Issue" sheriff for way too long. But we look forward to changing that in 2010.

I'll do some asking around but in the meantime perhaps someone with firsthand knowledge will chime in.

Just to be clear, you're wondering about the Country Music Hall of Fame and a place called Cha Cha (sp).

Thanks for the kind welcome, Piney.

And, David, the reception place is "Cha Chah" based on the very expensive invitation I received.

Parking is main concern at both places. Hall Of Fame, stay parked at downtown hotel

if that is where you are staying. It is near 2nd&Broadway where most things are at.

Cha Cha on Belmont Univ Campus,LA type place highpriced little food in middle of plate joint. Skip it and stay downtown, lots more fun..

Hey there! Will try and contact CMHF when Allen returns. Told Sugar of your plan to wear the pistol and she thought it was approprate for the theme of the wedding. I don't believe Cha- Chah's will be a problem but if so we'll have somewhere to lock up stuff. We figure that between her car my car and the Motorcycle transportation will not be an issue. Later! <><>RD

Our new member, PapaT is the father of the bride in the wedding that I'm coming for. Please make your fellow Tennessean as welcome as you have me.
