Has there ever been talk of TGO becoming affiliated with CMP

Most of the clubs available are JROTC organizations. Since I don't want to back to high school, I was wondering if this had ever been considered. It's only $30.00 for a "club" to join. Hell, I'd be willing to pay it myself just to be able to pick up the ammo and/or a Garand.

Yes, actually I was speaking with a member about this at the last FNRA dinner and it is on my list of things to do. My really long list of things to do.

Until that happens…Garand Collectors association is about the cheapest…. $25 a year. VFW, American Legion, DAV are some others.

The internet community I left back in CO had gone this route. It seemed to be welcomed/a big hit by all members!

This is something that is helpful.

I tried to start up a Not-for-profit gun organization. It is a great idea and I have many people here locally on board, but the paperwork required to start a 501c is intimidating. It was suggested to me, by a lwayer, to just start the organization, do my charity work, and if it grows to a large scale then sit down and go through the paperwork.

The other suggestion was to hook-up with an existing organization and kinda "piggy back", with them. Which is a pretty good idea.

I might check more into this.

GCA also has a great newsletter you get. IIRC, their membership year runs Sept-Sept and they don't prorate, so I'll probably join next month.
