Anyone in middle TN know the code requirements for plumbing a washing machine? Specifically stan pipe size, trap distance, etc. Codes came out and I need some clarification. Thanks.

It's like the IRS. You follow the rules till the inspector tells it's wrong. Ultimately it's his call. :panic:

yea, but if you already have water hooked up to your house, there is absolutely NO reason to get it inspected.

That's what I was thinking. I've installed a Washer and Dryer once, and it was so long ago I don't remember the specific piping used, etc.

Are you literally building everything out?

Yeah, my existing house is small, 768 sq. ft., and the addition is 300 sq. ft. to the side. We tried avoiding codes, but they patrol our area pretty heavily.

ahh, ok then you will have to do the rest of the permits. i assume you are doing this yourself as the homeowner? because otherwise you have to be licensed now to do plumbing
