The Palouse is generally not too bad when it comes to winters, but the last two have been harsh. Which reminds me that my snow shovel is worn out, and I need a new one.

Pickett County does get snow, albeit not often. I don't think my folks or my brother own a snow shovel.

Good question. My wife's family are all here in Washington, and she's a lot less flexible about that kind of thing than I am (which is why we're here and not there). A good paying job in Pickett County would help, but those are few and far between. I work in higher ed, and while I like Cookeville, I'd rather live in Pickett Co.

I visited the Seattle area last 4/th of July.

It is some good looking country, but I think I will stay in southern Middle Tenn.
