Mid-state is awsome. When you originally said "centrally located to a lot of people here on TGO", I imagined it would be out East, since it seems that is where the greatest percentage of members are from.

I look at the map and don't see 5 major cities within a 3 hour drive of any single particular point in middle TN.

Guess it depends on what your definition of "major cities" or "metropolitan areas" is. Or heck, maybe you drive faster than the norm?
