Start with 23.0 of Varget, Reloader 15, VV N-140 or VV N-540. Max would be 25 grains. Work up in .3 increments with a Audette Ladder Test at min of 200 yards. Find the node and the work from .3 of the center of the node bottom to top in .1 increments. You will find what works best with out wasting a lot of bullets.

I tried that a couple times. I always used .2gr increments. It works pretty good for some rifles. Some of these .223 ar's with looses chambers, the hotter you load em the better they shoot right up till you start popping primers out though.

Yes.. but with that small case.. and the known max.. it is better to find the node and then shoot some 3 shot groups in .1 increments...... .3 increments work good in bigger cases.. like the .308.
