Looks like Remington is donating 1, possibly 2, ACRs (that will both be equipped with AAC cans) to the Wounded Warrior Project raffle this year.

Raffle tix are $10 a pop, and with proceeds going to Wounded Warrior, who cares if you win?

From AAC's site:

We are extremely excited to announce that Remington is sponsoring the Silencer Shoot and the Wounded Warrior Project raffle by donating one, possibly two ACR rifles this year, the ACR will come with an AAC ACR-SD silencer. These weapons are possibly the only two available this year. Get your tickets now. All proceeds from these weapons will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. It’s a great cause, a great rifle and a great silencer. Win, win, win, win, win….

Nice,

Did Remington buy the ACR from Bushmaster?

Remington and Bushmaster are both owned by Cerebus Capital Management, L.P., and from what I hear, Remington will be marketing to the LE/Mil side of the market, and Bushmaster to the civilian market.

I didn't realize this. Who knew? All this talk about restructuring the car industry for sustainability. Since they own Remington, Bushmaster and at least some remaining Chrysler assets, I have an idea. By a Chrysler, get an ACR. We'd be back to 15 million cars a year in no time.

For those of you keeping up w/ Cerebrus' acquisitions, rumor has it they're working to pick up AAC right now. I don't know of any positive sources for this rumor, but it could explain why AAC is getting to ACRs for their raffle.

They also own DPMS and Cobb Manufacturing (Bushmaster R&D is there now) in N. Georgia.
