AK expertise is needed

The biggest thing in my opinion is to hand pick your AK or build it yourself. You will be able to check the mag wobble (use several mags) and check the sights to make sure you dont have a problem with the sight placement or gas block being canted. Check out the trigger group spacing and the make of the parts. I would not hesitate to buy a century or wasr as long as I could pick it out.

Believe it or not an underfolder stock is more comfortable to me than a traditional stock. If you have the ability to shoot a few then make your decision that is the best way to go. AK's just plain work and to me it does not make a bit of difference the make or model. It is your preference.

There is a forum specifically for AK's not sure if I am allowed to post it so if you are wanting the link just PM me they are the experts on AK's from semi auto to full auto.

However if you are looking for a good mid grade AK I would go with a Lancaster about $940 out the door however if you want something cheap the WASR 10 is the only one you will find (Im not a fan though) They ran about $349 brand new 2 years ago and now they cost $500-$600 but if you want a real deal AK that is gonna keep going up in value I would go for a Polytech Legend between $1399-$1800 on gunbroker.

Try Centerfiresystems.com you can get Bulgy's for under $600 and Romanian's for $359. A Lancaster at $940 is Obama mania pricing. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/ak_firearms.aspx

The Lancaster cost me a little less than $850 before taxes and bg its the AKM 47 TR with the rail system.Oh and the Romanian on that site you are talking about for $359 accepts only single stack 10 rnd mags. That would suck ordrdering one of those thinking you were getting a standard WASR10 and then that thing shows up at your dealer lol.

Even their website has them at $659-$699. If I were going that route, I would get a Saiga and have it converted out to a for $50 less.
