Been thinking about a bolt gun and was looking on-line at the CZ 527 American carbine in .223, because I always have plenty of ammo. Anybody have one or an opinion?

The CZ's are very well made, and accurate rifles. I have the 452 American in .22LR and it is a tack driver. The stock trigger is good, but mine came with a Brooks trigger kit that really made the trigger sweet!

I'd like to have a .223 one sometime, too.

I have a pair of CZ bolt guns at home - rimfires. I don't see how they could make them any better, except maybe an option for fancy wood. As far as manufacture, accuracy, and design, they are the best available that I am aware of.

I've got a 452 rimfire, the youth model in .22 (can't remember the model) and i had a 550 in .308. Quality, reliability and accuracy are great on all of them. As far as I'm concerned, a CZ rifle is a great gun for the money. I sold the .308 because I had a buddy who wanted a deer rifle and i couldn't bring myself to take it to the woods (it looked great). The 527 is on my list to get one day. Good luck.
