Well the shooting was great, however the turn out sucked, just me and the good steward, i wish alot of you other members in the area would have shown up, it was just us and one more guy for the first few hours then some other locals showed up and got a few more people towards noon, but all in all it was a safe shoot, and a good time, we will try again on the 12th, lets see if we can get a few more members to enjoy in on the fun, and put some faces to some names.

Ton of fools there. They don't usually show up until after noon, though.

I guess count me in with the fools I showed up at 1:30 (or was it 2:30?) and the place was all but abandoned and it was raining. I still got to waste a few on the 50.

I am tempted to go to a local shot and meet some members, but not at 7:30 AM!

I was tempted to come on the 12th of Sept. but there is a big Fun-Show that weekend in Knox!

Slick, 7:30 was when we met for breakfast. We didn't actually get to the range until 9. May still be to early for you, but it was nice outside and didn't rain us out.

Whoops. Sorry I missed it. Hadn't visited the forum in a while, and didn't even know when it was going to be.

But yeah...the early AM thing doesn't work that well for me, anyway. And 9AM is early, on a Saturday.

I guess it is early for a lot of folks. I'm usually out of bed well before 7 anyway (6 1/2 month old daughter ) so I guess I'm just an early riser. Maybe it would be better for everyone if we organize a shoot later in the day next time? oh, and by the way, the Camp Jordan show is this weekend, so I probably won't go to Knoxville anyway. The 5th is also the first Tennessee game of the year, so I won't even go to Jordan until Sunday. Very few things take precedent over UT football.

This has happened to every local get together. Seems everybody has conflicting schedules,or just doesn't want to meet,or something.

The most I've seen ever show up was during the last meet for lunch where 5 people showed up.

As for the date on the next meet,I'm all for the 12th if that means SlickRick(or whatever username he's using now) wont be able to show up

Sorry guys, I didn't show up because of the "early" thing. Pretty much anything before 11 am is too early for me. Don't try to work around my schedule now... I won't be able to attend anything between now and October anyway. I'm headed to the big show in another college football town for the next four Saturdays in a row. Nothing takes precedence over football tickets, already bought and paid for.

Well I acquired some more ammo so I'll only be there from 8 till about 10:30. I'll be wearing a black red hot chili peppers T-shirt. Looking forward to meeting at least one of you!

So how did it go guys? Sorry, I had my drill weekend and was unable to join.

I arrived at Prentice Cooper at 8 and shared the whole range with one responsible pistol shooter for about an hour while I rezeroed my Eotech at 50 yards. By 9:45 the 50 had completely filled up and SURESHOT and myself shot 22lr until the middle of the pistol range opened up. We met a couple of new shooters who had recently acquired their HCP's. I shared a couple of targets with em while HOTSHOT shared some pointers. I think he also did some TGO recruiting while I was trying out a Ruger Bullseye setup and sharing my Eotech Ciener setup. HOTSHOT shared some TGO monthly shooting contest targets but we shot them one handed instead of 2handed isosceles, OOPS! I had to run off at 12:30 and was almost late to son's soccer game in Cleveland at 1:30, time flies while you're having fun... It was my pleasure to meet and shoot with HOTSHOT and I look forward to meeting more PrenticeCoopaShoota's.
