So can I bring the 458? It shoots the 45 caliber boolits and uses large pistol primers? Avg FPS is 1100. 56Fordguy will be heartbroken if he doesn't get to pull the trigger this time?

Shot ya a PM.

I wouldn't say heartbroken. I'm hoping to get a turn with the MP5, too.

Anyway, range bag is packed, and ready to go.

Just got home from church . . hope you guys are having fun!

I was there yesterday . . listen to the machine gun going off next door.

The CLP is soaking in and I'm off to bed in a few minutes but I too wanted to say thanks to Daniel (Metalhead) and the rest of the Gun's and Leather crew that stayed to host us making holes in paper.

I hope we were behaved enough (no holes in baffles from where I was standing) and you made enough that this can become a semi-regular thing. Had a great time. Glad to meet some folks I've only known as a name in hyperspace for so long.

For those of you that had to meet me, I apologize profusely but warn you I will show up at more activities! LOL

Night all.

had fun tonight, glad to have met a few of you guys!

(next time think i'll say some hello's before blowing through all my ammo... and i want to shoot that cannon you guys were blasting away with in the lane next to mine!)

Which one? TGO David's hand cannon or my big pistol AR?

I would have let anyone that wanted a turn pull the trigger till the ammo ran out. I came home with like 12 rounds left!

It was a 458 Socom and the more interest I can generate in it the better. There are no major ammo manufacturers making this ammo, yet! If there are people demanding it, they will come! Everyone that owns an AR needs a 458 upper to pin on their lower and make some noise!

No cannon, just a 458 Socom. :D

Enjoyed the evening and appreciate the opportunity to soak info off of you guys. Thanks , Daniel, for being such a gracious host and for giving me so much to think about with putting my AR together.

Yes, the 458 is awesome. I was able to shoot a few rounds through it a while back (I still owe you, I know), and I've wanted one ever since.

As Rightwinger said, the ammo is neither cheap or plentiful. That's been the only thing keeping me from buying a 458 upper.

I had fun, good to meet some new people. Thanks for hosting this! Glad to get some trigger time on that MP5 too.

Crappy cell phone video of MP5.

I have to say, y'all are a great group; to a fault. :D I thought I knew what I wanted in a .45, then I got to shoot David's HK45, and logicprevails let me shoot his Para. Now, I can't decide. That HK was nice...but that Para was nice, and small...but the HK was really nice...y'all suck. :D:D

It really was great to meet y'all, and thanks to Daniel for setting this up. Had a lot of fun.

Metalhead, don't tell 56FordGuy I told ya, but he sold some scrap metal and has a little jingle in his pocket....you just have to keep sending him pics of the HK 45s

Shhhhhhhh I'm supposed to be talking him out of more guns

Sounds like you had a great time. I started going to G&L regular before my current tour of duty. I am coming home next week for pass and my little Girl's B-day and hope to make it up there Friday. There are a lot of nice people there and have a first class range.

Thanks out to Daniel for having us over for what turned out to be a great shoot. Great guys (and gals) from the forum, too. It's the first shoot I've been to and you all are absolutely top shelf. Really glad to have met y'all.

Got the video up on You Tube already huh? I should have gotten some video too, but I was having too much fun with the MP5 and the "Happy Switch". I had a blast tonight. It was great meeting all of you.
