I'm a, uh....

US NAVY, Aviation Electronics Technician (I-level), AIR WARFARE SPECIALIST, Instructor, with an MOS in IFF (COM-NAV) and Airborne Early Warning Transmitters (E-2C Hawkeye aircraft), First Class Petty Officer (equals an E-6 in other branches), RETIRED.

Among my other trinkets I earned an expert pistol marksmanship medal just as the base at Miramar transitioned to Marine Management once again... I impressed the daylights out of the Sargeant who was the range master at the time, but the rifle range was closed because of civilian issues. Oops - DARN!

I served 20 years and one month - and have done satellite TV, RV Servicing, and Transmission R&R since getting out in early '04 - the bottom kind fell out of a lot of things since I got out and came home to the Memphis area five years ago.

I can also be found at www.ford-trucks.com and www.mytractorforum.com

I still love to tinker with electronics, and can wire up any dang thing you can imagine putting in or on anything that has wheels on it.

I've had Winchester 94's, a Benelli M1 Super 90 chambered for three inch shells, Intratek TECH-9 STUPID SPRAYGUN with long clips - tac pac - and muzzle extension (BOY was that a dumb weapon...) (*Stolen in Norfolk when my apartment was broken into. Since then I always have a gunsafe), 1911A1's, a Mauser .45 handgun (Didn't think much of it - the grip was too short), a Garand, .54 caliber Black powder Hawkens, Black Powder .44 Revolver, numerous air rifles including Diana model 36, currently keep a Winchester 1300 .20 guage, and miss the hell out of my Martin/LYNX 85 pound compound bow - which in my opinion was the most deadly of them all with the right broadheads! (it was stolen while I was deployed)

I may have forgotten a few. The first rifle I ever fired was my fathers .30/40 Crag. I was eight years old at the time, and it nearly knocked me into blue sunday!

My dream guns are Remington 900's, ParaOrdinance .45 doublestacks, the M-14, and the Beretta 1200 series chambered in 3" (kissin' cousin to the Benelli, with the same rolling block action). There is also the beretta M-5P (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH MP-5) which requires a police or military letterhead to order. In essence, it's a 12 guage with a five round or greater box-feed magazine and the rolling block auto eject action of a 1200 or Benelli.

Welcome. My wife is stationed a Millington. I was at Miramar during the "transition". Later went to PT Loma. Retired in 2k.

I moved to Memphis last year and have had a hell of a time finding a job that didn't involve ditch digging.
