Great article Ben. Unfortuntely many of the methods used in Israel would never fly here in the States due to our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

For those who have never been to Israel, its a very sobering experience of what its like to live with real terrorism as a daily threat. When I was in Tel Aviv, the city buses would be boarded by an IDF soldier every two blocks or so and swept for bombs. In Jerusalem you had to go through portable metal detectors and place your bags on portable xray machines to gain entrance to a city square (forgot the name but it was in the new city). Many restaraunts had metal detectors at the entrances as well. School field trips had armed guards with them at all times.

I highly recommend visiting Israel for anyone who wants to see what it takes to live with terrorism as a tangible daily threat (plus seeing some of the best looking women on the planet as a bonus).
