For .223. All in all, should be a decent hunting bullet. Here's what I drummed up on it.

Found this interesting tidbit of some actual clocks of winchester factory ammo out of a 20" ar. Looks about right to me, imo. I don't think the 10pc91 loading is available anymore.

Tactical Briefs, August 2002 (gotta pan to the bottom)

I found a bc on the web for this bullet of .234, but, I do not know if this is the exact same bullet or not. This does seem about right looking at other bullets of this size and type. Midway reports the same bc:

Centerfire Rifle

Using TAC, a wolf magnum SR primer, and RP brass that is range pickup I got it up to 2944 for a 5 shot avg on what I think is a maximum loading at .223 SAAMI pressure level. Going to 5.56 pressure levels I'd guess you could top 3k easy out of 20", but I didn't push that far. I'm using a 20" ar with a 1 in 9 twist. Looking at this thing, it should work out of a 1 in 12 twist tube, but i didn't test it.

TAC works well and its easy to work with, throws great, no complaints.

Its shooting about 1.5-2.0 MOA for me so far. I need to tinker around on it a bit, but its no match bullet. It feeds fine. I might bump up .1 and bump down .1 and .2gr and look for a sweet spot. The lead tip does take a bit of a pounding on the ramp, but, no more than other bullets of this type.

Here they are at midway. I do not remember where mine came from. I forgot I had em and was looking for something else and found them. Of course they are out of stock:

MidwayUSA - Winchester Bullets 22 Caliber (224 Diameter) 64 Grain Power-Point

Quick look at a ballistics chart leads me to believe it should hit pretty good on whitetail out to 140-150 yards, imo. I like the weight. I used a G6 drag model, bc of .234. I should have some of the sierra 65's here pretty soon to compare it to.
