Browning Medallist, from the '60's. Tin can killer extraordinaire... Between this and the Woodsman my wife wants to steal from me, my 22 pistol needs are met....

I have a Colt Pre-Woodsman .22 pistol that my late grandfather left me, complete with the elephant ear grips and a custom set of wooden ergo/match grips he made. It's in very nice condition, and you can drive tacks with that thing. ;)

Very nice piece! I'm sure I have no chance of talking you out of it - so how about a photo?

No photos... yet... unfortunately. That gun, my Sig 229, and a 1911 (cool story / family-nostalgia and military shooting team markings) are all back in Kentucky at my parent's house. Had to leave them all there when we went overseas to Germany, since they're not very gun-friendly over there.

There are a ton of other guns, and stories that go with them, from his time in the Navy and as Chief of Police back home. They range from revolvers, to semi-autos, to pocket guns that he confiscated.

I'll try to get some photos of them soon. Just not sure when I'll be back home, before seperating from the AF next July. ;)

PS. Not a word to Elliott, but take a few pictures to share with us with the look of awe and amazement on his face when you all have that friendly little .22 shooting match.

Hey, will do...

Been a while since I competed. Hopefully I'll have two or three days to brush up. I know the pistol shoots a lot better than I ever did. Used to shoot shotgun hulls at 50 yards pretty easy.

heh, I MIGHT be able to hit a shotgun hull ONCE with 5 rounds.

I have a LOT of work to do before you get home to even hope to compete with you.

Boom, eat your heart out buddy! keep it up and I'll talk you into making it a 3 way competetion...as I remember, you have a smith and wesson target pistol these days.

talk is cheap, thankfully, so is .22 ammo!

:koolaid:
