are there any gunsmiths or gunshop owners who actually listen to the customer anymore

Recommended Posts

my glock 27's shooting low center-mass (about 3" to be exact). never had problem before (i did drop it about a month ago. glocks are slick as owl ). the gun smith i used to use died. tried to talk to the guy at the gun shop I've been patronizing for some time and same old story "must be you. next". I've shot enough over the years to know when it's me, and I know my bad habits. this is not one of them.

Are the gun folks doing sooo well right now that they don't care about their customer service anymore? I just want someone who'll sit down and talk to you maybe even go down to the range and see what's the matter. this used to be the norm. anybody out there like that anymore?

They are few and far between brother. I venture over the mountain to Hero Gear rather than deal with the Chattanooga shops. Except maybe for ammo. Jeff, the gunsmith and 1911 specialist tolerated me for a couple of hours when I was shopping for a nice 1911 just lately. Those guys are all great. They are in winchester.

Ditto on Jeff... I ahve yet to have any work done by Jeff but I have talked to him at least three times. He has always taken the time to discuss my "projects or problems". If/when I need work ... Jeff will get my business.

GOOD LUCK

Jeff at G&L is a great guy to work with. Of course he's got a lot of work going on right now so it may take a while.

Yea, depends on the job. A friend dropped off his AR-15 before heading to the range there, and when he came out, it had a new front sight. Not too shabby. Of course, it was a small job.

If its like my 21 the rear site is plastic and dovetailed in from left to right. Chances are its landed on the rear site when you dropped it. You will probably have to have a new rear blade and just get a wooden dowel and replace it yourself. If its adjustable just raise it a couple of notches and try it. If windage is still true it must have collapsed it when it dropped. JMOPO Thanks, Jack

I should have looked before I ran my big mouth. I think I told you "Bass Ackards" on the sight adjustment.

Find a Smith!.........Sorry! Jack
