I have seen several around here that have posted. I don't think I have seen one where the sign is legal.

But if they feel it important enough to post any sign about I will respect that and not enter. I will go somewhere where I am welcome like Austin's Tennessee Firearms in Oak Ridge, TN.

Having worked in apawn shop for a while I can tell you for the most part those are for the idiots that bring loaded guns in to pawn. You would not believe how many times I have had to unload a gun that was nto loaded. One smartass got it good, told me it was unloaded, I checked, emptied the gun and then told him "what if I had just pointed it at you and pulled the trigger?"

i think the intention for this is the same as a Bass Pro or Gander Mtn, etc where they are referring to weapons for repair, return, or in this case pawn. The signs just aren't worded as well. I also have never seen a proper posting in a pawn shop and have carried in plenty. After all a lot of them are in the ghetto

When I owned a gun store in Fl. I had a sign, it was more for those bringing guns in for trade or sale. I didn't want them ploping up a loaded gun on the counter, or them assuming the gun they brought in was unloaded, it also took the liability off me for a weapon being fired by a customer that they brought in (accidentally). CCW holders were welcome to keep their guns on and concealed.

Is what I figured, we have a local pawn shop here that didnt have the sign till a few weeks ago and I need to do an FFL transfer with them, didnt go in then and was thinking of going elsewhere. With all the whoopla going on with the signs on restaraunts I look hard and am real picky because of their choices. Thanks, Scott
