Just purchased a RIA M1911 A1 CS. 3.5 inch Barrel with 7 round cap mag. Haven't shot it yet. Going to the range tomorrow after work... We'll see what's up then.

Anyone know where I can get extra mags for it? It only came with one...

I have had one about a month and so far about two hundred flawless rounds. The officers size 7 round magazines will work fine. Wilson Tactical magazines are top of the line, but a little costly. I found some locally for $33.00.

You can find one at any gun store I do believe. You're going to love shooting your RIA! I shot several different guns at our gatherings, but my RIA, words just can't explain it! You'll see what I'm talking about when you go shooting tomorrow. Have fun!!

I found the mags. CMC 7 round. Works great.

First things first. This is my 2nd RIA. I had a full size a while back and am kicking myself for selling it.

The new RIA CS model shot great. I'll probably have some different sights installed as the front sight is not in a dove tail and is small and hard to see.(I even painted it white)I added a Hogue wrap around grip. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

It shot great with factory ammo but the reloads didn't feed so well. But it's not broke in yet either. It fed and shot 3 types of hollow heads very well also. It shot off to the left a little but I'll work on that.

Over all I'll have to say that I love it. It also conceals better that my Taurus PT24/7 Pro cds...( Sold that the same day I bough the RIA)

I put a couple rounds down with that pistol for Pan.......savin him a little wear and tear from the recoil

Its definitely a nice shooter. RIA does it again.

Tnpanscraper, nice meeting you at Frontier the other day. It makes one wonder just how often we see other TGO members out and about and just don't know it.

It was a pleasure meeting you also( even though you bought my grips...lol... ).

I would say we run into other members pretty often, especially in gun shops...lol...

The Pearce grips feel pretty good. Rosewood would look better though. I'm thinking the Pearce finger grooves with Chip McCormick slim Rosewood checkered grips would be just right. Maybe I can find some before you do.

Lol.... I'm gonna try these Hogue's out for a while... I really want a set of Alien Digital Camo grips but I'm too cheap to spring for them...lol...

That cute Lil Fella looks sharp Motasyco!

I always used any 1911 magazine at the range. Make sure you "mark" your Officer size mags so you don't get them mixed up with your Full size.

This should fit real nice too...

Thanks AWM. I wanted to make it look different than my wife's RIA. I go through ammo fast enough without a mag like that.

Sweet looking pistol! All you RIA people are starting to push me towards joining the crowd. I'm resisting though.

Well you all convinced me to get one. Just put a deposit down on a tactical 45 FS. Doesn't look like the one you posted pics on, it's been hot-rodded and my puny little self can pull back the slide. If anyone has any more input on the Rock Island M1911, please do! I'll be dreaming about grips - where do I start?

I'm starting to like the black Pearce grips. They make the compact seem a little more business like. Sorry Chip, cancel those rosewood checkered grips.

The Hogue wrap around have grown on me. I think I'll keep them for a while.... They feel very secure in my hands...
