How old is old? I have some limited knowledge of swords, not a whole lot, but I'll take a look if you like.

No Idea. All I know is my grandfather had them, passed them on to my father, and well you know the rest... above is a pic of them. I can get some close ups if needed.

They look to be WWII katanas/wakasashis perhaps, at least the middle one matches a picture I found almost exactly (this is from about 10 minutes of google, and a lucky break, so I may be wrong), with a random bayonet tossed in. Looks like they go from anywhere from $50 all the way up to thousands of dollars.

i believe that if its from ww2 (most likely is) that they are signed on the tang, or atleat some of them are.

I can't find any markings on them. And I may want to sell them but I have to know what I have first. The small one has a snake engraved on the blade. pic below.

My great grandfather brought back two just like he top two in your pictures from the South Pacific. He got them off fallen Japanese soldiers.

the tang is under the woodin or ivory grips on the handle they might have engravings in there of the makers name. that is the extint of my knowledge. i dont know anything about them either i just am a fan of japanese martial arts and weapons like that.

You will have to pull the handles off the blades to get more info.

It's been a while since I looked at the ones my dad has, but they did indeed have maker marks under the grips. We looked them up one time, but I can't remember anything about them ATM.
