yeah, telling them ahead of time sets the tone of the stop...if you are gonna play mr hard a@! I am sure you will get a ticket for EVRYTHING he/she can find...showing that you have nothing to hide cause you are law abiding makes everyones night/day go better.

they have a hard job, I have much respect for them doing what they do for that little money! If I screwed up enough to get pulled over, well that is my bad and I shouldnt make their day suck, they are doing their job.

I got pulled over last week for doing 27 in a 20 mph school zone by KPD. He asked for license reg ins, I handed him my DL and HCP. He asked if I had my gun and I said yeah it's in the console and he told me not to reach for it. I thought Duh. LOL Then he asks again for my registration and I said it's in the console. So he lets that go, runs my numbers and lets me go with a warning.

I don't know that the HCP got me out of the ticket, but I've never received a warning before when I've been stopped. He was very polite and professional about the whole thing.
