Need Help with holster choice

Recommended Posts

i will be ordering a holster for my xd45c in the next few days. i've got it down to 2 choices, crossbreed supertuck or dm bullard dual carry. i can't seem to find any videos or pictures of the dual carry being used, there are several videos of the supertuck on youtube. does anyone have a dual carry that can post a pic of you wearing it so i can make a decision.

edit: already ordered the supertuck but would still like to see the dual carry in use.

i understand its iwb

Actually it's IWB or OWB. Hence, "Dual" Carry.

i wanted to see how well it worked.

That's my point. You can't see anything worn IWB with my style of dress.

I could take a pic wearing it or not wearing it. They'd look the same.

all i care about is how well in conceals iwb. i probably will never carry owb. sorry that i didn't state this earlier.

i've tried iwb holsters that don't conceal all that well unless you are wearing a shirt 3 sizes to big. i really like the looks of the dual carry and have another bullard holster on which the craftmanship is outstanding. i may purchase one to go with the crossbreed.

My Dual Carry conceals very well. It's fine with just a t shirt, but tends to catch your shirt between your back and the gun if you bend over. Could just be the way I have mine set up, as the clips can be moved to adjust for cant. Underneath a button down shirt, it doesn't print regardless of what I've done.

Have a DMB Dual Carry as well. My advice is to get their Keydex J-clips to replace the metal clips that come "standard". One of the metal clips kept snagging my untucked t-shirts on draw. The J-Clips work real well, tucked or not. About $20 more, but worth it. Also, don't bother getting their optional leather belt loops. For me they caused too much printing. Or, maybe do as OhShoot did and get some MTAC Kydex "overbelt" clips (please correct me if I've misspoken here OhShoot).

On the whole, a real quality holster.

Agree.

Yeah, that's what shows in my avatar, but I've gone back to his standard metal clips. I just don't use them in the slots.

OP has already bought a kydex hybrid holster instead of leather anyway.

i actually prefer leather over kydex but have read so many good things about the supertuck. like i stated earlier i may buy the dual carry as well. i figure if i buy both and don't like one i could sell the extra.

I finally placed an order for two Dual Carry's. I've heard nothing but good things on both of these IWB holsters, but after talking with Oh Shoot several months back I was convinced.

I've got several KHolster Kydex holsters, and I'm ready to try something different.

Enjoy the Crossbreed!

Keep us informed.

I have the Crossbreed SuperTuck only because I didn’t know about the DM Bullard at the time. Leather is King. thumbsup.gif

eapking or others, do you prefer the Kydex Tuckable J-hooks instead of the regular Kydex Tuckable clips that go over the belt? Do you lose some support with the J-hooks as compared to regular Tuckable clips? Does the concealability of the J-hooks outweigh a possible loss of support. I am trying to make a decision. Thanks.
