Sen. Alexander backs Sotomayor

He must be planning to retire....

We need to remind him that Al Gore wasn't elected president in 2000 because his fellow Tennesseans (if one can really call Gore a Tennessean) voted against him because Gore had abandoned their values for Washington's. If Tennessee had gone for Gore, Florida would have been a mere footnote in political history.

When you email him, bring the point home by addressing him as Mr. Alexander from now on....

I saw this joker on Foxnews this morning and he made my blood boil once again. After the segment, I decided to send him an inspiring message:

Senator Alexander:

I just watched a segment on Foxnews (Sunday 02AUG2009) with you talking about Supreme Court nominee Sotomayer. You have opted to voted for her. You state your position is based on the "Democrats treatment of John Roberts" during his confirmation years ago.

What is your major disfunction Senator? You represent the constituents of the state of Tennessee. You fail to recognize the line between YOUR opinion and the ones of those who elected you to the Senate. I am keeping score and you are angering a great number of Tennesseans. I am one of these furious individuals. I suggest you update you resume because you will not be representing of great state after your current term. I will NOT be voting for you and I will be informing everyone I know about your failures to represent Tennessee.

Regards, Michael Xxxxxxxx

I have never liked him anyway. Really it doesn't matter Republican or Democrat or any other denomantion their all out for there own agenda not mine, not yours. This is why they will not be included in the Obama care or National heath care; because they know it will not work for the benifit of the People, it will only help make the goverment so big that we the people can no longer control it.

This is part of a quote about who Sotomayor is "the record is clear: Identity politics is at the core of Judge Sotomayor's self-definition. It has guided her involvement in advocacy groups, been the topic of much of her public writing and speeches, and influenced her interpretation of law."

It is part of what Alexander heard or or more likely tuned out while counting kick backs from the dogs he sleeps with. the full quote is here http://www.ceousa.org/content/view/707/68/ it's a good short read.

Once more "Lamer" Alexander proves that the wishes of the people he supposedly represents mean nothing to him. This also demonstrates once again that party affiliation is meaningless as an indicator of poitical position. While he lost my vote some time ago, I continue to email his office regulary to state my opinion. What a liar and a loser. I would love to find a candidate that I could vote FOR, instead of always having to vote AGAINST somebody.

+1,000,000 on every one of your points.

When I was a kid I hated all politicians and considered them all liars.

About 20 years ago I started enjoying politics and getting into it.

Now I hate all politicians again and consider them all to be liars.

She's confirmed now  This is what I had sent his office. It doesn't matter much but at least it felt better when I hit send.

"I'm writing to ask you to denounce your support for Sotomayor. It is clear based on the hearings "Judge Sotomayor's offensive words are a reflection of her much greater body of work as an ethnic activist and judge". You either fail to listen to or comprehend the facts and have allowed alter motive to influence you.

Your position on Sotomayor is NO different than that of those that you have joined in support of her.

I can no longer accept the lesser of two evils. You have continually failed as a representative of the Republican party. You have misrepresented your constituents.

I do not ask for this action to alter my position or the outcome of her confirmation. I ask because it is your duty as a representative of our state. I remind you that you work for us!"

No doubt about it. Whatsoever. I had emailed him over 100 times just in the past ten days, using multiple website contact forms and every note was uniquely written, not just a bunch of redundant copy and paste stuff. I also call his office daily, but they take the phone off the hook most of the time.

------

Here's what I just sent -

Mr Alexander,

You simply do not represent me. That is not my opinion, but a fact of evidence proven by your actions.

I would safely bet that the majority of your constituents (i.e. voters, employers, bosses) desired that you reject Sotomayor and vote NO for confirmation, yet you willfully ignore us and vote the opposite of what we would have you do.

We are now actively seeking your replacement. This is not a wish. You WILL BE REPLACED upon your next election, which I don't think can come soon enough.

You will obviously continue to ignore us as you have proven, so enjoy what's left of your short remaining balance of time as a Senator who is supposed to be representing the citizens of Tennessee.

------

Now is the time that we start finding people for replacements. It's time to clean house out there people! These "representatives" are NOT representing.

Good luck on a response

Not expecting one. I've sent him hundreds of emails over the years and never even gotten an automated canned response like I get from Cooper and Corker. It's more to let him know that we are watching and know what he is doing and that we intend to get rid of him. That's all.
