Paramount Theater in Bristol

Going to the Paramount for a show soon and was wondering if it is posted for no weapons. Does anyone know? I hate to leave my gun in the car.

I've never specifically been to the theater in Bristol, but I went to the one in Johnson City a few times while attending ETSU... I'm not sure if the policies are the same. But, most of the theater's which I have visited in TN have had a small 'ghostbusters' decal in an in-conspicuous location, likely just for insurance purposes, but I have yet to see one which complies with TN code 39-17-1359. So, unless you see something substantially similar to this:

PROPERTY HAS BANNED WEAPONS ON THIS PROPERTY, OR WITHIN THIS

BUILDING OR THIS PORTION OF THIS BUILDING. FAILURE TO COMPLY

WITH THIS PROHIBITION IS PUNISHABLE AS A CRIMINAL ACT UNDER

STATE LAW AND MAY SUBJECT THE VIOLATOR TO A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN $500.

You have no legal obligation to disarm. The only exceptions are places which are declared off-limits by TN law (which are few, but noteable... though you won't find a movie theater in one, so no worries), or if a responsible person for the property which you are on specifically requests that you leave.

I always conceal when I go to the movies.

I don't know either. It's been a while since I've been there. When we get the databas set up I'll do a walk down State Street and get them entered. There isn't normally a problem there, although State Street Bar and Grill, just down the street, occasionally has a problem. I would be warry of leaving the gun in my car though. They aren't that far from the projects on the VA side.

That really wouldn't matter either would it Tungsten? My understanding is the same as molonlabetn. It has the be posted a certain way. I mean, out of respect sure, but not against the law, right?

Went to the show tonight and saw Rhonda Vincent in a fantastic Bluegrass performance. She was cool ( and so was I ). Saw no signs or any restrictions of any kind. I really felt better when I went from the theater to my car in a very unlit parking lot.

Wish I had know about that concert. Rhonda Vincent is extraordinarily talented.
