Gunny Ermey's new show "Lock and Load" is on the history channel right now. This week is about artillery, looks like it gonna be pretty good.

I saw it. Frankly, I'm a little sick of the History channel repackaging the same info in a dozen different shows. At least they weren't using the same stock footage like they do sometimes. Tales of the Gun, etc.

I like Gunny, but man...he is starting to sound like an old man on TV. The same booming note that he had in his voice in Full Metal Jacket and even in Mail Call seems to be missing.

The camera work was a little weak too. Too frenetic, too much forced energy. How many times does a camera have to start far away and then zig zag to a close up of Gunny? That smells like a trick to keep 5 year olds glued to the set.

All in all, I'll watch it again next week ;)
