reusing small pistol primers

my question is ,i have about 100 pieces of brass that i have already primed and some of it got ruined,i deprimed them and got the primers out,are they still good primers and can i just put them in different brass and they be fine or are they no good now that i pushed then out of the other brass??

I think they should be ok, I heard of test where people have tried to find a good way to kill live primers without firing them and have a very hard time of finding a method. You can always load up a few of the primers and just fire them alone (no powder no bullet).

ok,i have reloaded them and i will fire them later,i thought they would be fine,just want to ask to be sure,thanks for the info

Done it many many times tho not on more than a few at a time. Just have to be careful when you pop them out.

I know primers are rarer than hen's teeth right now, but I wouldn't mess around with decapping live primers. We are talking about a 3 cent primer and a piece of used brass to put it in perspective.

yeah but i dont want to just throw away 100+ primers when they can be reused
