I would say the one that hits target, any hollow point would do the job.

Why does Federal mark the HST ammo as Law Enforcement? You have to go to a different website to even find information about HST verses the main Federal site.

My guess is liability and marketing. With the sue happy anti's out there if they "market" to "civilians" they could appear negligent.

ON a little more sinister note - limiting availability lets them keep higher prices.

It also allows them to make sure they have enough to fill lucrative LE orders first.

No laws regarding this. Buy away!

You stole my thunder. FMJ .45 is a relatively ineffective load as are most FMJ loads regardless of size. Thats why the JHP was invented.

No laws that I'm aware of, but that doesn't keep the vendor from having their own restrictions. The "Cop Killer" bullets were restricted by the vendor to LEO's only.
