Alhambra Shrine Gun Show - Chattanooga - 7/25-7/26

Recommended Posts

Not seeing anything posted so forgive me if this is a repost. This will be my first time going to this show. Apparently tickets are $6. Since I live right down the hill, the wife pretty much can't say no.

Has anyone been to this show in the past? What should I expect?

I'm taking my SW40VE hoping to sell/trade. I'm looking for a Ruger P-89/95 as my wife and I are so much more comfortable with it.

Anyone else going? What do you think my chances are of coming out with a good deal?

Well the last 1 there 4 month's ago was also the first there in 8 yrs. and it was packed, however at all shows since then have been somewhat slow, both on vendors and cust. due to no AW ban and the economy!

But i feel this one might be bad, hopefully not as bad as the Clev. 3 weeks ago which was the worst show i have ever seen, even though the Clev. show back in March was great!

There is also a big show in Knox. this week, so this will affect vendors at customers at both! But the Shriners also serve breakfast and lunch/dinner there. The worst problem is the bad lighting! Makes it hard to check things out really good, guns or anything else, i will be in Knox. Sat and in Chatt. on Sunday!

Good deal is hard to find, on a new gun you would most likely be better off getting it at Sportsmans Warehouse, but you never know!

Prices on Mil-surps have been going nuts!

Best of Luck!

If there are any dealers going to the shriners show that can sell me some ammo stamps please contact me at cwi555@charter.net

I have 7K of 45acp to sell but only 10 stamps left. I have stamps for everything else, but am short for the 45.

Worst show I have EVER attended.

Not enough vendors, and overall attendance was low. Prices were sky high, but nothing seemed to move at those prices. I bought a rifle rest for cheap, that was the best deal at the entire show I think. No NFA items. Only one vendor had reasonable prices that I saw.

Gun shows cater to those that don't know about internet sales and/or dealer transfers.

Well, it was no where as packed as the last 1 there, but with 1 also in Knox. was what i expected on both!

Also with no impending AWB all shows went downhill since March!

I went a couple of months ago to the Shiners gun show. First one I have ever been to and probably my last. Prices were sky high. A lot of the venders were very anxious to make a sell. Overly anxious. Also, it should have been called a knife show with a few guns. For every gun that was for sale were about 200 knives.
