Armed Guard License Worth It for Small Biz?

Is getting a proprietary guard license (not the contract guard company license) for your small business so you can hire yourself as an armed guard worth it to get around some of the goofy carry laws, such as carrying on school property, park property, signs, etc? I do know that armed guards can generally carry anywhere when on duty. Could this include while carrying your own business' important client documents while say conducting a meeting at a school b/c you would be protecting those documents and possibly bank deposits? I see nothing in the law that would keep a self employed person from being 'on duty' while working and carrying consulting papers/client documents.

I am aware that a proprietary guard license has to get bonding insurance and fill out paperwork with the dept of commerce and insurance BEFORE hiring an armed guard (which I am thinking about making myself...I see nothing to prevent that legally). I am also aware that I would have to get an armed guard license, qualify every two years and all the fun that goes along with it. A lot of expense, but it could be a business expense for me.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks
