Don Hume holster problems

Recommended Posts

I just got a Don Hume holster from the website. It is not my first holster from the company. I liked the others, but the inside of this one is very rough. I put my USPc in it today and when I drew the gun it was covered in light scratches. They rubbed off with a cleaning cloth. I still don't want to use it if it is going to put that much wear on the gun. If I send it back I think I will loose 15% of the price ($55) plus return shipping. Is there anything I can do to soften up the inside? It feels like sand paper.

I bought the holster from their website. I talked to them today, and they are going to send me a shipping label to return it to them for a full refund including shipping that I paid. Sounds like pretty good customer support to me.

Can't get more fair than that. I've been looking around for a OWB close fitting belt holster but have the same concerns about the finish on my gun. I want it as my every day carry but it's too pretty to mar. Then again it does no good sitting in the safe. Let us know what you finally come up with that solves your problem.
