My girlfriend and I were shooting in the back yard yesterday and while I was inside she broke the spur off the hammer of my mdl 94 22LR. It looks to me like it was a defect as part of the break is partially discolored. I called Taurus and will ship it out to them when i get my paycheck friday. Here's a pic of the now bobbed hammer revolver.

Have fun with Taurus. I have heard some ranting on other forums regarding their customer service. It might take forever, but they should get it fixed.

I would think they should cover the shipping in this instance. Defective part.

I was told to ship it to them via UPS or FedEx and they could return it to me. I asked about just buying a replacement hammer and changing it out and was told that hammers are restricted parts and I have to send it in. We will see how long the turnaround will be i will be sure to post when i drop it in the mail and when i get it back

The Beretta Neos I have will get a little bit more use while this one is gone

I have had 2 weeks and little over a month from what I read its hit or miss on time. Guess I have been pretty lucky.

The 2 weeks time I talked to the Shop Manager, he is a IPSC shooter too I think it helped my time!

only had to deal with them once. took about two weeks to get the right part out to me but they finally did. i would have to call them again about buying the hammer because I have found other sites that sell hammer assemblies for revovlers. if it was restricted then it would be restricted for everyone.

I mailed it off Friday. 46 Bucks for shipping. Now the waiting begins.

I had mine sent by the place I bought it, they didn't ask for shipping money (and Taurus didn't either).

By the way, be prepared to wait a LONG time. They've had a .44 of mine for months.

When I was looking for a .38, it came down to either a Taurus 85 or a S&W 442. I chose the Smith after I read horror story after horror story about Taurus' customer service (or lack thereof).

I called today and was told it was recieved on the 30th of July and would take 6 weeks (I figure that is the normal response they give).
