What kind of ammo are you looking for? There might be somwhere else that may have what you are looking for. It depends if you are looking for some hunting ammo then yeah Bass Pro is the place, but if you are looking for a case of 7.62x39 the I would go somewhere else.

pistol ammunition. .38 .40 .44 .45 9mm .357 .380

I would try calling beforehand. The last time I was there, they had some pistol ammo, but it was extremely expensive. Think 2x what Wal-Mart charges. They were also rationing it at 2 boxes per person. They also did not have .380 or .45 or .38 or .357. Only some 9mm and .40.

They did have plenty of .22 and rifle ammo, but again, extremely expensive.

I guess I'm curious why Bass Pro?? Like SavageSig said, they are extremely expensive. The 9mm and 40 is best priced at WalMart. Some of the local gunshops have got the 38, 357, and 44, but the price varies, usually $24/box of 50 for 38 and/or 357. The 44 is usually $29-$30/box of 50, but I've seen even a little higher. I am talking about practice ammo. If you want personal protection, same prices but for about 20-25 bullets. The best priced ammo and selection in Knoxville that I've seen regularly is at W.D. Sporting Goods on Alcoa Hwy. Call ahead to check availability. Closer to you, check Outpost Armory (615-867-6789) in Christiana. This gun store is owned by Ronnie Barrett of Barrett guns. They have 380 there, but it's not cheap. Their prices on ammo were higher, last time I checked (about 2 months ago), but it's worth the trip just to see all the ARs and accessories. Good luck!

I would just wait and get your ammo at wally world where it's cheaper. Bass Pro never seems to have any when I'm there or when I call....and they never have me a damn LCP or LCR. Last time I called it was a 28 person waitlist on both items.

franklin gun shop has some jest below nashville

fruedian slip?

I'll admit, most prices down there are comical...but I haven't been in a year or two so maybe they started being competitive

What are the addresses for Hero Gear and Holeston's?

Hero gear is right off the square in Winchester. Not sure about Holeston's. If you are in the area, you might want to check A1 Protection Agency in Tullahoma. They usually have a decent supply of Blazer ammo as well as some pretty good deals on handguns.

How about Dicks Sporting Goods?

Don't waste your time with Dicks.

Your best bet's would be Academy, Bass Pro, Outpost Armory (Murfreesboro area), and Hero-Gear (Winchester). If you come all the way into Nashville, try Guns and Leather just north of Nashville in Greenbrier.

Pretty sure you can find ammo at Guns and Leather. I have not been up there in a couple of weeks but last time I was there they had bunches including cases of .223. Call before hand though.

The outpost has tons of ammo but pricing is all over. They do have some .380 but the SD ammo is limited to 1 box per person.
