New Addition To The Family

Sorry, not a new gun.

Both my girlfriend and daughter have been "hounding" me for quite some time about getting a dog. His name is Grizwald.

He's a 7-week-old Basst Hound, and just as I expected, he became my second full-time job. It's alright, because he's also become a real chick magnet around the neighborhood.

Anyway, here are a few crappy pictures. My daughter is out of town on vacation, and couldn't wait another second for me to email her some better pictures.

Good looking dog, I had a Basset once. I named him Scruggs after a bbq joint in east Knoxville. Great dog but he was kinda slow. Slow enough that he could get lost in the front yard. I used to let him out and he would run aoround the yard wide open for about 5 minutes, when he stopped you could tell by the look on his face he was thinking "where the hell am I "

I always thought it would be cool if I could teach Scruggs to ride in the back of my truck but he was kinda scared so one day I thought I would cross tie him in the back until he got used to it. I got him all rigged up, fed him a slim jim and away we went. I got about a quarter of a mile down Chapman Hwy when I heard some thumping and thought I had a flat. Seems I tied him a little loose and he bailed over the side of the truck and was dangling from the side at 60mph. After the panic and the smoke from the locked up tires subsided, I fortified him with another Slimjim and he was fine. He rode in the cab after that
