Savage Super Sporter 30-30 pre war bolt.

I have a Savage Super Sporter 30-30 Serial #64XX and I need some info I have tried to find info on the gun but not much of it. I was hoping someone on here could tell me me more about. This gun was given to me by a family member when I was 12 and I am 30 now. It does not have a model number on it. Any help would be great. It is in o.k condition the stock was cracked and fixed ( I hunted with this rifle for almost 14 years and never had an issue with the stock or accuracy of the gun). Here are some pics of the condition. Any info would be great.

That appears to be a very early "Super-Sporter" or some variation - model 20? 23? (the SS came with a Lyman peep sight standard in calibres from 30-30 to 300 savage, with 30.06 being the most popular)

My first call would be to Savage Arms. Ask for the Company Historian/Archivist.
