Carry on Government Property

I was pretty sure I'd seen in the laws that carry on government property (buildings, facilities, land) wasn't allowed but I couldn't find any mention of it looking through Michie's Legal Resources. Has it changed or am I not remembering correctly? And is there anywhere that presents the laws in an easier to read format?

If you mean federal, that's true for the most part, but you won't find federal law in TCA.

State, county, city must post.

There are some TWRC rules concerning guns, too, but I think most all of those have now been negated, except some questions about Army Corps of Engineers land?

Also, National Parks carry doesn't go into effect till this coming Feb.

It's amazing how often this seems to come up....

Government property (except federal) is not automatically off-limits.

State, County and City properties must post just like any other private property.

Yeah i've carried in county and local buildings in the Memphis area with no problems. I conceal, so that helps and I don't tell the world. When moving to Memphis a couple of years ago, I accidently went into Memphis city hall building instead of a shelby county building....the memphis city building had metal detectors that I walked around. A guard/policeman gave me directions to the county building. I wouldn't walk around downtown Memphis without a handgun.
