I purchased my new Smith - M&P 40 in February.... I sent in the rebate for the 2 mags, and have yet to receive them.... I have verified with the rebate company, that it was received and processed. They referred me to S&W - which then I was told they were on back order until September? :shake:

Is there anyone else with this issue. My husband also purchased, same day he has already received his mags...

I got the compact model, he did not.

With the recent craze to buy every firearms related item known to man, this is not a big surprise.

Many manufacturers have run into similar issues. You'll just have to wait it out. You'll get them.

There is why. I sent off one rebate for 40c mags and didn't get them until the next rebate program ended. They will get them to you, S&W is good folks but it could take a few.:D

This morning I received my two that would have come from the M&P 9mm that I bought earlier this year as well. You should probably receive yours very soon also.

Thanks everyone, guess I will just wait it out.

I bought a full size and a Compact on 4-11.

I have received both sets. They came a couple of weeks apart. Maybe 8-10 weeks. You should have already had yours.

Have not received any either. My wife bought the 9c back in middle March. We are waiting patiently. Finally have enough ammo to fill them up, if they come in.

I wrote them a letter last week about my 40c. It said they were on back order. Yesterday I got a tracking number from S&W. Hopefully get them tomorrow.:D

Do clean these M&P rebate mags before you use them. Likely dripping with oil. Mine were (9mm).

How do we clean them up? I finally received them and they look clean but wanted to be sure?

Disassemble the magazine. Spray them out with gun scrubber (non-chlorinated brake cleaner works perfectly) and then wipe with dry paper towels or lint-free cloths until the cloths come out clean.

I wiped the insides of mine down with MEK (methyl etyhl ketone) but that's probably a little on the side of overkill.

Anyone have problems with a 10rd 9mm M&P compact mag having a "round rattle" when loaded past 7? Mine does...I contacted S&W and they said there was no fix for it but they did say they would trade me for a 12rd mag if I could wait til september to get it back. Didnt know if anyone might know of a homemade fix before I go through the hassle.

I dont have any 10 round 9mm mags, but one of my full size mags in .40 does rattle if the mag is full and inserted into the gun.
