Hi-Point Carbine on Dallas SWAT

So, I was watching Dallas SWAT this afternoon. They were doing a raid on a known PCP dealers house. After the house was cleared the detectives came in to gather evidence.

One of the detectives is showing the firearms they have found in the house. He holds up a Hi-Point 9mm carbine, and what comes next gave me enough of a laugh to decide to do a screen capture and post it here

.............. what?

I mean, the detective point to the scope and proclaims "You can tell w/ that scope, it can do some damage", like the scope makes it... what's the technical term... oh yeah, "more eviler".

In this same episode, Dallas SWAT had 3 opening in which they were doings PATs to fill... at one point it cuts to a clip of a guy with a clipboard in a gym watching an applicant bench press. He shouts to someone off-screen, "Hey, throw another pair of 45s on there!", the applicant then reps it a few times, and he says "Impressive." and begins to mark something on his clipboard...

:hat:

I know several depts have demanding PATs for SWAT applicants, and maybe I'm wrong, but am I the only one doubting that Dallas really has a "How much ya bench?" portion of their test?!?!

And these people being swat you would think would know more about the firearms that they are taking off the streets than this.

Boy, I bet that Detective would REALLY be impressed by some of the carbines over at the Hi-Point Forum! He probably compare them to a Nuclear Bomb!!!:D

No doubt. Some of the guys on the Hi-Point forum have created some of the sickest looking 995's. :D

Scope or not if it's only the 9mm it would only p1$$ someone off at best.

Now the .40 with a SCOPE would do real damage and you guys wanting to add a collapsible stock and barrel shroud are just simply plumb evil insane. Instant :screwy:
