Just stopped by a place during lunch, little whole in the wall....$40 bucks for a used 30 round AR mag.

Is that in line or way out of line. I did not buy it.

Well I almost said WTF when he said the price. I'm sure the look on my face gave him that impression anyway. I have seen them online for $15 plus shipping, witch puts them around $22 shipped.

I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't out of my mind or not.....which I know, is debatable....

you can find cheapie mags (which that probably was) for $12 or $13. Pmags are as low as 15 here locally, seen a couple websites even cheaper.

pmags are my recommendation...haven't had any issues with them, and they make the riflle more black and therefore more evil

That is Highway Robbery! You can get a new Colt Mag for less than that, there are many Bad ones out there, like USA Mags or KKK etc.

Best to get a factory mag like Bushmaster, Colt or Thermold and those are great!

I will buy a new, possibly the PMag mentioned above, for the SHTF bullets, but for fun, cheaper the better, I just have to remember not to tap the mag against my head, no Kevlar helmet to protect my noggin.

The place on Summer has Pmags for $24.98 each, or USGI mags for like $22.00 each:rolleyes: Midway currently has black Pmags in stock for $14.95 each.

You mentioned kevlar, so I assume you've ETS'ed. Best way to get mags, re-enlist, volunteer for deployment, while boots on ground, give the armorer some homemade cookies your mom sent so he'll rip up the hand reciept for your issued mags........:D
