Who has the combo to your gun safe?

Just was thinking about it tonight as my wife was in the room. Over the years I have told her she could have it even though I do stash a lil cash for x-mas and side purchases. I have given it to my dad years ago in case anything ever happened to me. My wife just doesn't seem to care. Not complaining just curios how many know your numbers?

My father and brothers. All of whom live in Florida. My wifes sister saw me open it one day so I had to change combo on it then.

gf for my pistol safe.... any recommendations on a decently priced fireproof decently sized safe?

no one besides me. The grandson told me he knows it, too funny.

Probably would not be a bad idea to let someone I trust know the combo. My wife could care less about it.

I'm the only one who has the combo to my safe. My family knows where they can go to get it if something should happen to me.

Hey guys... been really busy, first post in a while...

Girls point of view:

I know the combo on "our" safe. Not only do we store firearms, and ammo, but also insurance and other important papers. I did not have the combo for years and really did not think it was necessary, until I need my daughter's birth certificate and DH was out of town. You might think she does not "care" if she knows it or not, but if you are keeping important documents and insurance papers, god forbid something happen and she needs to get to it..

Just my father... as with everything else...insurance, investments, will, car titles, ect.

Thank you for posting this as it has opened my eyes. I need to insure that if/when something happens, access is granted to the important things. In my passing, I want the comfort that things go as easily as possible for my loved ones.

+1 on the safety deposit box.....I will be getting one.

I've tried to get my wife to learn it. I'm definitly not writing it down. I gave it to my father because years ago I had a brain fart and forgot it. Boy what a feeling that was. We keep all of our important papers in there as well. Maybe I'll try her again.

I have an electronic locked safe. It works with two combinations. I have one and my wife has one. I don't know hers and she doesn't know mine but we both have access.
