I have fired some aluminum cased ammo without problems, but I stay away from it. I reload, so aluminum cased ammo would be a waste of $$ for me.

Since I will not be reloading 9mm, I bought about 1500 rounds of CCI aluminum. I have put about 500rds through my 17 and the wifes 19 with zero failures. I have found a source for CCI brass, $105. per case, alot cheaper than I have been buying the aluminum.

Is that $105 per case of 1000?

Can you PM me that source

Any reason to not post that source? I thought Natchez was good, but this is even better. Thanks.

The range master here on base bought out a store that was closing, or something to that effect. He is selling what he has. I don't know what he has left, but I plan on lightening his load as much as I can. A limited supply type of deal.icon6.gif

I shoot the 9mm solely if I can help it. A couple of weeks ago Acadamy was out so I tried the Monarch in the green box.

Is Academy an online seller? If so, can you post a link? The best price on ammo I have found is Natchez Shooter Supply. Always looking for a less expensive way to shoot.

Acadamy is a local sporting goods store.

I shoot CCI blazer 9mm 115 gr; but here in NETN the cheapest i've found is a case for $144 at Wideners. I am going to Fall Creek Falls and McMinnville in two weeks though if this 105/case must be walk-in.

I have a XD 9mm service and I use this ammo at the range all the time. Have put over 6000 rounds of it through my gun with only a couple of problems, both due to dirty gun. (Testing how far it would go before stopping). Never any ammo related problems.

Tried it in my KelTec Sub 2000, which says not to use it, and it functioned perfectly till it got dirty, then I got several FTE's. Gun would still eat brass cases at that time, so that gun is a little ammo sensitive.

Started out getting it at Academy for $3.86 a box, now at $5.86 a box. still a bargain.

Hope this helps.

Robert:)
